If a technosport club engages in engineering knowledge, drones, model car racing, and technology studies, one might think that live broadcasts are just a bonus. However, a high-quality live broadcast offers the opportunity make the achievements of young people outside the club rooms visible and to share the buzz of the competition with those who cannot attend physically. Or, for more popular events, even those who wouldn't fit in the venues.
HOBIzone Sports Club approached us to find a workable solution:
how to make live coverage of your events so that it's live. at a reasonable price, with no running costs, easy to use and permanently present — so that the club itself can manage it on the go, without having to order a team and equipment every time.

How did we solve this?
We have developed a solution based on Stationery supplies – it is in place, works reliably and gives club members the freedom to produce content themselves.
The following devices:
- Blackmagic Design Micro Studio Camera – Compact, high-quality, and suitable for permanent use,
- Blackmagic Design Web Presenter 4K – connects image and sound and sends it conveniently as a stream
- Rodecaster mixer desk – simple and clear control over sounds
- The signal is forwarded over the SRT protocol Television.ee proxy server, where we will automatically add graphics (e.g. race results, but why not also advertising breaks?)
This solution offers young people the opportunity to try their hand at the technical side of things – operating sound, cameras and understanding how information is transmitted to the audience. And if major competitions wish to spice up the production with additional cameras, it's simple because the output is already in place.
When it comes to cost, the purchase price of the complete solution is comparable to the club's electricity bill for four winter months and is in a similar price range to operating ten live broadcasts with staff. However, HOBIzones hosts an average of 5 competitions each month.
A live broadcast does not have to be a sports club expense
Competitions, which Hobby Zone’which are taking place, are traceable sport.television.ee in an environment where viewers can buy an affordable ticket.
A paid direct transmission is not merely a way to cover costs, but a conscious decision to support the core activities of a sports club. If the cost of the live broadcast does not need to be covered by the club itself, the NGO's funds can be directed where they directly benefit the club members: into updating learning materials, conducting training sessions, and developing youth.
Ticket revenue helps:
- The big club spent, because sport.television.ee the portal will pay 70% of the ticket revenue to the club,
- keep the solution reliably running,
- and at the same time Keep the club's budget focused on the right things.
For the viewer, the availability of live broadcasts is a clear win — a reasonably priced ticket This means you can support your team both at home and while travelling, whether that's in Saue or Sydney. And do so knowing that the lion's share of the ticket money goes directly to supporting the club's activities.

Smaller footprint
In addition to everything else, such a stationary solution helps to reduce the need for constant travel and the movement of large technical teams.
Television.ee In recent years, in cooperation with various partners, sports clubs and event organisers, we have created Stationary and remotely accessible live streaming solutions throughout Estonia — from Pärnu to Narva. Thanks to this, in 2025 we will have saved:
- more than 20 000 vehicle kilometres,
- sadu tunde autoroolis,
- and a lot of fuel that would otherwise have been used for daily journeys to set up the machinery.
Although Saue Hobby Zone Just a stone's throw from our office, this project is a prime example of how sustainable solutions work even over longer distances.

Easy
The solution, born from the collaboration between HOBIzone and Television.ee, looks like „a camera on the wall.“ But sometimes, the charm lies in simplicity, and the whole solution is one Smart system, which supports young people interested in technology, offers viewers the chance to cheer on their favourites, and helps the sports club work smartly and long-term.
