On 7th–8th August, Estonia's biggest track racing event will take place at Porsche Ring in Pärnu – Booden Kinnisvara Estonian Grand Prix 2026. The Television.ee team has the great honour of being the official competition Host Broadcaster or an international television producer.
The live broadcast will take place on Saturday, 8 August. You can follow the competition day in Estonia Postimees.ee via the portal and we send our produced international transmission signal to TV partners across Europe.
To see the practice sessions and qualifying taking place on Friday, you need to come along to the Porsche Ring and experience the roar of the engines with your own ears.
Mis on Host Broadcaster?
The Host Broadcaster is responsible for producing the official television coverage of the event. Our task is to transform everything happening at the Porsche Ring into a comprehensive television broadcast – monitoring the race on the track, bringing viewers the key moments and emotions from the pit lane, and integrating camera feeds with results, on-air graphics, and replays.
The signal produced by Sama Television.ee is used by both the Estonian broadcast platform and international partners. This means that our director's choices, the camera crew's work, and the on-air graphics shape how viewers in Estonia and elsewhere in Europe see the Estonian Grand Prix.
Estonian motorsport and Pärnu reach the European viewer
We are delighted to contribute to Estonia's export as a motorsport nation and to the promotion of Pärnu as an attractive tourist destination with this transfer.
A high-level international competition, which the Estonian Grand Prix undoubtedly is, is a very good export for a small country. It shows that Estonia has professional organisers, an international-level racing circuit, strong technical capabilities, and people who can bring major events to life.
International television coverage does not only feature the cars and motorcycles racing on the track. Along with the competition, viewers are shown the Porsche Ring, summer Pärnu, and the entire atmosphere surrounding the event. A well-produced live broadcast can give an international viewer their first reason to feel interested in Estonia and to later come here as a competitor, team member, spectator, or tourist.
We saw the same thing. at the European Electric Scooter Championships held in Rakvere, where a competition organised in Estonia reached tens of thousands of viewers worldwide through professional television coverage. An international sports broadcast is simultaneously both a coverage of the competition and a promotion of Estonia's organisational capacity, culture, and destinations.

Motorsport coverage isn't just about pretty pictures. Viewers need to understand instantly who is leading, what position a driver is in, how much has been completed, what the lap times are, and what the current race situation is. Graphics appearing on screen at the right time help make a fast and complex race clearly followable, even for someone who doesn't know all the drivers or racing classes.
The Television.ee team has experience in integrating timing and results information with the television picture, creating graphic solutions suitable for the sport, and supporting important competition situations with replays and infographics. In the case of an international broadcast, the result must be understandable in another country and another language area.
Good on-screen graphics are not merely a design element in sports broadcasting. They are part of the narrative of the competition and one of the reasons a viewer can follow what is happening on screen and connect emotionally with it.
Cars, motorcycles, and nearly 140 competitors
The special feature of the ’Estonian Grand Prix' is bringing cars and motorcycles together on the same race weekend. The Porsche Ring will host rounds of the Finnish, Baltic, Estonian, and Latvian championships, with approximately 140 competitors expected to start.
Among others, touring cars, GT-class cars, historic Estonia Formula cars, Legends cars and racing motorcycles of several classes will be racing. The Ants Seiler Trophy race keeps alive the long tradition of Estonian Formula car construction.
Young kart racers Albert Tamm and Aleksander Uusneem will make their debut at the Estonian Grand Prix in formula cars. Motorcycle races will bring fast riders from Estonia, Finland and other neighbouring countries to Pärnu. Therefore, this is not just one major race, but a very diverse international motorsport weekend.
Will a new track record be set live on air?
One of the most anticipated moments of Saturday's programme is the Estonian supercar Oldbac Kalana's world record attempt. Kalana rooli istub Mercedes-AMG tehasesõitja Ralf Aron, The goal is to break the Porsche Ring lap record.
Official timetable The Kalana track record attempt will take place on Saturday between 13:15 and 13:25.
The moment of a horse race cannot be recreated later in a live broadcast. Cameras, the director, replays, and the entire technical team must be ready for that one single lap. If a new record is set, viewers will see it live through Television.ee's cameras, both in Estonia and elsewhere in Europe.

When to watch the competition?
On Friday 7 August, the programme begins at 10:00 with practice runs. Motorcycle qualifications start in the afternoon and car qualifications continue into the evening. There will be no live television broadcast on Friday – you can only follow the practice sessions and qualifying by being present at the Porsche Ring.
The live broadcast will take place on Saturday, 8th August at 10:45 and the first race starts at 10:55. Throughout the day, races for various car and motorcycle classes will be held, and according to the schedule, the last start finishes at 20:00.

Porsche Ring Europe
Motorsport presents a unique challenge for television production. It's necessary to follow multiple races simultaneously, notice events unfolding on the track, be prepared for replays, and also convey what's happening before the start, in the pit lane, and after the finish.
This time, the television broadcast produced by Television.ee will not end with the Postimees portal. The same international broadcast signal will reach viewers across Europe via television partners. A chosen shot from the Porsche Ring, a result displayed on screen, or a race situation shown in replay could be broadcast in several European countries just moments later.
International distribution adds responsibility to the production. Television imagery and broadcast graphics must tell the story of the competition in a way that is understandable even to viewers who do not speak Estonian or know all the local drivers. At the same time, along with the competition, the Porsche Ring, summer Pärnu, and Estonia as an organiser of a professional international sporting event will reach the European audience.
The Porsche Ring is familiar to our team, but every race is new. At the Estonian Grand Prix, we will produce the official television coverage of Estonia's largest circuit racing event for an international audience, thereby helping to showcase the level of Estonian motorsport, our organisational capabilities, and Pärnu and Estonia as a whole to Europe.
