The Television.ee streaming platform was established in March 2020. We wanted to make events accessible from the comfort of your own home, which previously required attending in person.
Covid-19 made it impossible to conduct and attend concerts, training sessions, conferences, sports events, and seminars in their usual format.

However, we wanted to ensure that life wouldn't come to a standstill and that no events would be cancelled. We had no basis for this belief, but we were confident that in this difficult situation, audiences would want to support their favourite artists, athletes, and trainers by purchasing tickets, in addition to being able to attend the events.
Today, here and now
At the time of writing these lines, it's been just under three years since the birth of the Television.ee live streaming platform. We've had the honour and privilege of helping to bring events from different parts of Estonia closer together through video solutions. Even events or competitions held in the furthest corners can be made accessible outside of Estonia, and even in Tanzania, through the production and web platform delivery of live streams.

You probably notice certain changes in your own habits too? We see that people are far more selective about which events they attend and which they follow instead via screen in the comfort of their own homes with friends, or in the office meeting room with colleagues.
Looking back, our work had another outcome that, in hindsight, seems very logical but wasn't written into the action plans at all initially. Namely, the increase in virtual participation has significantly reduced the need to attend events in person – transport-related costs and negative impacts have decreased. The result is slightly cleaner air and fewer cars in car parks.
Is the future dark or green after all?
It is true that the world shaped by our decisions today will be a legacy for our children. Therefore, at the beginning of 2022, we made the decision to take a more critical look at the company's footprint. The first tangible goal became the decision to deliver all content available on the television.ee platform to viewers by 2024 at the latest, without anyone having to burn oil shale.
Today we have partly fulfilled this goal – the television.ee platform is already using 100% of renewable energy for broadcasting live streams and recordings. To be honest, there's even a bit left over. 🙂

Easy, isn't it?
See on küll väike, ent meie jaoks oluline verstapost.

Why go green? To be perfectly honest, not one sensible business person in our company ever claimed that having a personal energy park was the most optimal investment. But sometimes, you don't just have to do what's sensible. Often, you just need to do what's right. Today, we're increasingly seeing the benefits of this and continuing on our path to become the greenest transmission platform. All the more so that every Live Transfer, which we bring you would be better than the previous one.
If you also need a live broadcast of your event or just a recording to distribute privately, get in touch with us. info@television.ee to the address or make an enquiry via the contact form.
